GRAMMAR: In a restaurant (Kibar Teklif Cümleleri)

 (SECOND SEMESTER)

Waiter: Would you like a cup of tea?

Bir restoranda konuşmada kullanılabilecek En temel İngilizce yapılar:

“Bir sey yapmak ister miydiniz” şeklindeki “KİBAR TEKLİF” cümleleri nasıl kurulur.

Kalıp: Would you like + to VERB

1-Şu örnek cümlelere bakalım:

Would you like to walk with me? (Benimle yürümek ister miydin, (ister miydiniz)? (Kibar!)

Would you like to sleep here?

Would you like to watch the match?

Would you like to play chess?

Would you like dance with me?

Şimdi siz:

(Would you like to eat an apple?)

…come here?

…visit the museum?

…have dinner with us?

…buy this shirt?

2-Şimdi bu kalıbı bir restoranda kullanabileceğimiz kelimelerle kullanalım.

Would you like to order now? (Sipariş vermek)
Would you like to order fish?
Would you like to drink tea?
................................to have something cold?
................................to eat a hamburger?
................................to eat salmon? Etc.

3-“Would you like” yapısından sonra isim de gelebilir. ( xxx ister miydiniz? (Kibar !)

Would you like tea?

Would you like some tea?
...................................a cup of coffee?
...................................anything else?
...................................anything to drink?
...................................anything to eat?
...................................the menu?

 

4-Bu kibar teklife şu şekilde kibar yanıtlar verebiliriz.

Waiter: ***Would you like to order sir?

Customer: Yes, I would.

Waiter: ***Would you like to drink something cold sir?

Customer: Yes, I would like a cup of tea.

Waiter: ***Would you like to have something cold sir?

Customer: Yes, I would like to have something cold.

Waiter: Would you like a hamburger sir?

Customer: Yes, I would like a hamburger.

Or:

No, thank you.

 5- Garson nasıl sorar:

Waiter: “What would you like to have , madame?”
Waiter: “What would you like to eat, madame?”
Waiter: “What would you like to drink, sir?”
Customer: “ Erm… I would like ( to drink) a cup of coffee, please”.

Or:

Waiter: “Would you like anything else?”

Customer: “Yes,I would like some fruit, please” (meyve)

6-Müşteri bir şey isterken veya sipariş verirken hangi yapıyı kullanabilir? (İzin isteme!)

a- Can I ….? b- Could I …..?

Can I have the menu, please? (Menüyü alabilir miyim?)
Can I have a hamburger, please?
Can I have the tea please?

7-Can I yerine daha nazik veya resmi olan “Could I …?” yapısı da kullanılabilir, (YAPI: “izin isteme” !!!)

Could I have the menu please?

Could I have the hamburger now?
Could I have something cold?

8- Hesabı kibarca isterken kullanacağımız kelimeler?

Could I have the bill, please?

9- Ya da “ kibarca bir sey rica ederken “ kullanacağımız tarz:

1-Could you....?
2-Can you ...?
3-Would you....?
4-Will you ....?

Could you bring me the bill please? ( Hesabı getirebilir misiniz/ getirebilir miydiniz? (Yapı: RİCA !!!!)

Could you bring us two cups of coffee, please? (Kibar istek, rica !!!)

Note: “Two cups of coffee” yerine pratik olarak “two coffees” de diyebiliriz.

B- CLOTHES ( Giysiler)

1-Türkçedekinden farklı olarak, pantolon dengi giysiler hep çoğul kullanılır.

Trousers (pantolon)

Shorts (şort)

Jeans (kot pantolon)

2-Fiyat sorarken :

How much …..?

How much is this jacket?

How much is that coat?

Yanıt: It’s TL50. Or It’s 50 dollars.

3- Çoğul giysiler?

How much are these socks?
How much are those jeans?
How much are those trousers?
Yanıt: They are TL25 or …….It is 20 euros.
