Çoğul takısı olan "s" , - s ve -z olarak okunurlar: ses, konson uyumu ve kolaylığa göre...

b,c, d,g harflerinden sonra z okunur.

Diğer seslerde hangisi kolaysa onu telaffuz ederiz, çoğul takısı anlamında...

İstisnalar:

"-es " takısı alarak çoğul olan sözcükler:

"o" tomato: tomatoes..

"x" box: boxes

"s" class: classes

"f" shelf: shelves , knife: knives

"y" baby: babies , cities

"sh" ve "ch" brush: brushes, watch: watches.
 

Düzensiz Çoğul olan BAZI isimler:

man- men
mouse- mice
child-children
tooth- teeth
sheep- sheep
goose-geese
this-these

that - those
woman- women
person-people
foot-feet

fish- fish
louse- lice
